2024 highlights: a year of transformation…

As we wrap up 2024, it’s the perfect time to reflect on a year that has been both challenging and rewarding. This year, we continued to navigate the shifting tides of the global supply chain landscape, from rising tariffs to evolving regulatory requirements. Despite these challenges, we’ve been able to not only meet but exceed expectations in delivering logistics solutions that matter most to our clients.

NG Terminal’s adaptability, dedication, and innovative approach allowed us to strengthen our relationships with partners, building a future-ready infrastructure capable of handling complex global logistics. As we look to 2025, we remain committed to providing seamless, efficient solutions for businesses navigating the complexities of international trade.

Key services that defined our success in 2024

In 2024, NG Terminal’s core services continued to play a pivotal role in supporting our clients’ success. These services were designed to meet the growing needs of businesses engaged in e-commerce and global trade. Here’s a quick rundown of the standout services that helped our clients thrive:

  1. Final-mile delivery excellence

Timely, reliable delivery is the backbone of successful e-commerce businesses. In 2024, NG Terminal ensured goods reached their destinations quickly and without hiccups. Handling over 150 tons of e-commerce air freight daily—equivalent to a fully loaded Boeing 747 cargo plane—highlighted the scale of our operations. With robust solutions tailored to both large and small businesses, our services spanned the UK, the Eurozone, and beyond, making us the trusted partner for businesses seeking elevated logistics.

     2. Trans-shipments for EU & global destinations

Through advanced IT systems, we synced real-time data across multiple warehouses, ensuring goods were delivered efficiently while complying with shipping regulations. This streamlined process reduced delays and eliminated roadblocks for our clients.

      3. Courier partnerships

This year, NG Terminal expanded its courier partnerships, working closely with leading networks across the UK and internationally. These partnerships ensure our clients benefit from the best rates and reliable delivery options, whether they’re shipping locally or globally.

      4. Customised logistics solutions

Recognizing that one size doesn’t fit all, NG Terminal delivered tailored logistics solutions in 2024 to meet the specific needs of diverse industries. From warehousing and inventory management to complete end-to-end logistics, our scalable expertise enabled businesses to meet unique supply chain demands. The opening of our Excise Bonded Warehouse further enhanced our ability to manage high-end products like premium whiskies and tobacco, securing a competitive edge in the market.

Insights from 2024: key trends shaping the future of logistics

This year, we witnessed several key trends shaping the logistics and e-commerce sectors:

  • Increasing demand for data-driven logistics

The demand for faster customs clearance continues to grow, with data-driven logistics playing an essential role in ensuring compliance and speed. According to DHL, customs delays cost the global economy $600 billion annually, making it imperative for businesses to optimize these processes.

  • Shift towards sustainability

With more than 70% of consumers willing to pay more for eco-friendly products (McKinsey & Company), the logistics industry is shifting towards sustainability. In 2024, NG Terminal continued to focus on eco-friendly solutions, ensuring we minimise waste while maintaining operational efficiency.

  • Technology integration

AI and automation are increasingly crucial in logistics. Gartner’s report states that 65% of top-performing companies now use AI in their supply chains. At NG Terminal, we are embracing these technologies to optimise operations, improve inventory management, and enhance customer satisfaction.
