This annual list, determined through a collaborative process involving industry professionals’ recommendations, votes, and expert evaluations, aims to identify and honour the top 100 individuals who have positively impacted and contributed significantly to the maritime sector.
Reflecting on the previous year, the “2022 China Shipping Celebrities List” had 192 industry elites nominated through various channels, and the public engagement was impressive. A total of 48,467 industry insiders followed the voting progress, with 27,793 individuals casting a total of 45,602 valid votes through real-name registration.
The selection criteria include public influence, voting results, news exposure, and expert evaluations. The final list of the “2023 China Shipping Celebrities” will be announced in the special edition “Memories of 2023 – Annual Top 100 in the Port and Shipping Logistics Industry,” scheduled for publication on January 1, 2024, in the China Shipping Gazette.
Every influential figure, regardless of nationality, who has made a significant impact on the port and shipping logistics industry, is eligible for consideration. Please note that, in compliance with regulations since 2020, government officials are not included in the list of celebrity candidates.
