On September 1st, 2023, a pivotal moment unfolded as Miao JianminChairman of China Merchants Group, embarked on a visit to Guizhou Province, solidifying a strategic partnership that promises to reshape industries and foster innovation.

The occasion saw Chairman Miao Jianmin meeting with Xu Lin, Secretary of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee, and Li Bingjun, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor, in the beautiful city of Guiyang. Together, they participated in the signing ceremony of the “Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement between Guizhou Provincial People’s Government and China Merchants Group Limited.”

The signing ceremony marked a momentous step forward in the relationship between China Merchants Group and Guizhou Province. In recent years, our collaboration has blossomed across various sectors, actively supporting Guizhou’s industrial development and rural revitalization efforts. We’ve played a guiding role in areas such as low carbon, digital innovation, and new materials, yielding tangible results.

Li Bingjun, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor, expressed his optimism for this partnership. On August 31st, Chairman Miao Jianmin and his team also had the privilege of visiting Maotai Group, where they engaged in fruitful discussions with  Ding Xiongjun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Maotai Group. This visit culminated in the signing of a strategic cooperation framework agreement between China Merchants Group and Maotai Group.

Under this agreement, both entities will harness their unique strengths to foster strategic cooperation in finance, food supply chain, logistics, and beyond. We’ll employ efficient, practical, and innovative collaboration models to share resources, complement each other’s strengths, and drive mutual development.

Chairman Miao Jianmin commended Maotai Group’s impressive growth and global recognition.
